CAPILANO UNIVERSITY Campaign work
Brand refresh and an Out-of-Home launch campaign
Situation
As part of a larger brand evolution, the organization undertook a comprehensive brand refresh designed to modernize its visual identity and strengthen recognition across its expanding audience base. A key component of this transition was ensuring the refreshed brand was consistently and effectively translated across high-visibility public campaigns.
Task
Working alongside the Creative Director and an external branding agency, I was responsible for helping bring the refreshed brand identity to life through integrated campaign work. The goal was to create impactful, large-scale communications that increased brand awareness while maintaining consistency with the new visual direction.
Action
I collaborated with internal creative leadership and external agency partners to understand the strategy, design principles, and visual system behind the brand refresh. I then translated these elements into large-format out-of-home campaigns, adapting the refreshed identity for billboards, transit advertising, and other public-facing applications.
The work required careful consideration of scale, readability, placement, and audience engagement to ensure the brand remained recognizable and impactful across diverse environments, including North Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, the Sea-to-Sky corridor, and surrounding communities.
Result
The campaign successfully introduced the refreshed brand identity to a broad public audience, increasing visibility and strengthening brand recognition across multiple regions. Through thoughtful implementation of the new visual system across large-scale applications, the work helped establish a cohesive and memorable brand presence in the community.
