CAPILANO UNIVERSITY Landing Page Redesign
Incorporating UX Design learnings and in collaboration with IT Services
While working at CapU, my role extended beyond designing printed marketing materials to creating digital graphics and visual assets for the institutional website, social media platforms, and other online channels.
To further develop my skills in the digital space, I successfully completed a UX Design certification with a focus on Interaction Design through the Nielsen Norman Group. Through this learning, I was able to introduce new user-centered practices and contribute to the redesign of CapU’s school landing pages.
The primary challenge was to develop a flexible landing page template that could support a wide range of content. The template also required close collaboration with the IT department to ensure that the designs were both functional and feasible within CapU’s existing website infrastructure and systems.
I created new components for the school pages that aligned with existing elements within the CapU website, but allowed for more freedom and creativity in how information was presented.
Initial concepts and layouts were developed in Figma before moving into implementation.
