UNIVERSITY & COLLEGE DESIGNERS ASSOCIATION (UCDA) 2022 AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

CapU’s annual viewbook is a massive undertaking, with the end goal of highlighting the university campus and programs in a unique and memorable way. The goal is to attract new students while standing out from a mass of competing universities and colleges.

For this viewbook, I took a more creative approach that included a mix of photography and illustration. The concept was to visualize the transformative experience a student goes through during their journey through a post-secondary education. This was done by using a mix of hand-done illustration, stock illustration, and photography.

The fun, whimsical use of imagery helps to balance out the heavy amount of technical information that is included.
